Marketing Communication Specialist with copywriting skills (36-40 hours)

For nearly 50 years, we have been designing stylish and practical bicycle accessories (including bicycle bags, bicycle baskets, bicycle rainwear) and fitting mounting systems in-house, marketing them through various B2B and B2B2C channels. Bicycle happiness is what we stand for, from day one. With the right bicycle accessories, everyone gets on their bike faster and more often. Where will you be working? 

You will become part of an accessible, pleasant organization with an open atmosphere. People are at the heart of what we do, and communication lines are short. You will be part of a hardworking and friendly marketing team for the Basil (bicycle accessories) and MIK (mounting system) brands. The team currently consists of a Marketing Manager, two Content Marketers, and a Visual Merchandiser. With your arrival and other new marketing colleagues, we are building the development of the marketing department and brand activation for the Basil and MIK brands. 

What will you be doing?

In this new role as a Marketing Communication Specialist, you will play a versatile role in shaping and executing our marketing strategy, both tactically and operationally. You will develop (measurable) marketing communication plans for various markets and implement them together with the marketing team. In consultation with the Product Management and Sales department, you will introduce new products for the brands. For this, you will assign tasks to external agencies (including marketing, design, and media agencies). Together with the involved parties, you will ensure that the right marketing mix is used to reach and surprise relevant stakeholders. In addition, you will effortlessly write careful and diverse content for external media. The Dutch language holds no secrets for you in this regard. As an entrepreneurial Marketing Communication Specialist, you will also oversee the marketing budget and the progress of the projects you have underway. In short, you are not just an essential part of our team; you also contribute to the success of our brands in various areas. 
What do you bring to the table? 

• A completed HBO education (Marketing, Communication, Commerce)
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in a similar role
• Familiar with working in a B2B and B2C environment
• Proficient in both Dutch and English languages; knowledge of German is a plus
• Commercial drive is in your DNA
• Precise and structured, regardless of deadlines
• Flexible and enthusiastic work attitude
• Knowledge and affinity with the bicycle industry certainly helps but is not required!
