Getting ready for the Kruitbosch Bike Event...

What is important to dealers? What does the new pet basket look like? Account manager Peter Hoogstede is getting ready for the Kruitsbosch Bike Event starting next week. ‘I can’t wait to show our new collection.’
Are you looking forward to the Kruitbosch show?
‘Certainly! I like seeing everybody from the bicycle industry again. The show also provides me with the opportunity to speak with retailers and answer their questions with regards to our new 2018 collection.'
How do you figure out what matters to dealers?
‘By listening carefully to them and asking a lot of questions. What do they need? Where is their store located? Who are their clients? And for what purpose do they need a new bicycle accessory?’
What if dealers need help with the instore presentation?
‘If dealers want a hand with the instore presentation we can provide help ranging from a shop window presentation to a complete instore setup. Basil has a specific brochure (our Retail Solutions booklet) where the dealer can find tons of inspiration when it comes to instore presentation.'
What’s your personal favorite?
‘I am a big fan of our Miles Daypack, which is also available in black now. Bicycle bag, rucksack, shoulderbag: this bag has everything. Our design team gave the Miles Daypack a more outdoor and sportive appearance by changing the color in black and adding details in a lime color.'
What is really special this year?
‘Basil and Massload recently launched an interface system between your luggage carrier and bicycle accessories (bicycle bags, baskets and trunkbags can be mounted onto the luggage carrier rack and exchanged in the blink of an eye). Since the official launch at the Eurobike show the MIK system has received a lot of attention.'
What are popular colors?
‘Pastel powders are very popular. The new collection follows this trend. In the product category crates 6 new colors have been added, making mixing and matching even more interesting. At the Kruitbosch show we offer 7 crates for the price of 6 crates from whatever size. The action applies to the 6 new colors, the 7th crate can be a black one if wanted.
