Appointment of Managing Director Marc Roelofsen reinforces Basil team
As from August 14, 2017, Marc Roelofsen joins the Basil team in the role of managing director, and will focus on Basil’s national and international growth.
Marc has been active within the bicycle industry in various capacities. As a teenager, he started in two-wheeler retail before making the transition to the distribution sector. Over the past 20 years, Marc has held several management positions within BBB Cycling, and became managing director twelve months ago.
Customer Satisfaction
At BBB, Marc was engaged in process optimisation at various levels, in building a network, and on developing high standards of customer service. So for Marc, the interests of producers, distributors, dealers and consumers have always been paramount.
MIK system
The appointment of Marc Roelofsen will allow Marthijn van Balveren, the owner of Basil, more time to focus on new projects. During the coming year, Marthijn will roll out the revolutionary new MIK system across the industry. This open platform is destined to become the new standard for mounting systems.
Process optimisation
Marc will take responsibility for optimising all current operations, both internally and externally – a task he will, naturally, perform in your very best interests. His ambition: "To make Basil not the biggest, but the best."
